Bucharest,
May 6 /Agerpres/ - The Ministry of SMEs, Commerce and Business
Environment (MIMMCMA), in partnership with the Geneva-based
International Trade Centre on Wednesday launched the first
Romanian foreign trade web portal -
www.portaldecomert.ro.
The
portal is an important element in Romania's National Foreign
Trade Strategy and is also the first such instrument in Romania.
Built with support from the Swiss Foreign Trade Institute, the
portal provides all the necessary information Romanian small and
medium-sized enterprises need to enter foreign markets, from
product information to regulations in force in EU countries and
other areas, how to lodge complaints when hitting against
bureaucratic or protectionist obstacles, etc, MIMMCMA informs in
a press release.
This is
an interactive system of information, knowledge and counsel to
the local Romanian business environment concerning foreign
markets and the most efficient ways of concluding international
trade transactions and develop exportation. The portal provides
business people with comprehensive, 24/7 information about
Romania's trade representation offices abroad and alerts when
events of interest occur.
The
system is designed to keep direct, rapid and efficient
operational ties between local business communities and the
external markets through a network of commercial and economic
representations abroad of the MIMMCMA and with support from the
internal network of foreign trade services.
The
portal is also thought as a recipient of foreign trade
intelligence and a binding force for the efforts of all those
involved in Romania's foreign trade, to offer exporters an
opportunity to steer their business and help them draw up
foreign market entry strategies.
